Baby, you can drive my car
March 27, 2004 @ 11:06 p.m.

Well, finally, I have some big news. I have been reluctant to talk about this in case things fell through, and nothing was really certain until today, but it happened, so here it is.

I have my own car. It's my father's old 2000 Corolla, but it runs and it's mine. I put a CD player in it and got a Buddha air freshener, and so it's all ready for me to drive back up to school tomorrow. Yeah, it means no more slacking and actually being responsible about money for a change. But whatever, I'm happy and I have the Postal Service CD so woot.

Home was good this time. It was fun and busy for a change, but also a nice break from school. I'm ready to go back and finish this school year off and figure out everything for this summer. I love vacations because they always build my confidence and make me think I have it all figured out before something happens to make it all come crashing down.

But I'm not ducking and running just yet. And if I have to, at least I'll have a faster way of getting there.

(And Jessica, no worries. See you next time for all the love commitment ceremonies and Denny's trips you want.)
